This program aims at recruiting world-class scholars under the age of 55 as full-time Professors at USTC. Applicants should have worked either as professors or in equivalent positions in world-renowned universities or research institutions.
1000 Talents Plan Professorship for Young Talents hot
This is one type of “1000 Talents Program” especially for young scholars under the age of 40. Applicants should have obtained a doctoral degree in a world-renowned overseas university, and have no less than three years of overseas research experience. Special offers are granted to those who have insufficient post-doctoral research experience, however, have made remarkable research achievements in their doctoral studies or in other areas.

This program is designed for world-class scholars of non-Chinese ethnicity. This program aims at recruiting world-class scholars under the age of 60 as part-time Professors at USTC. Applicants should have worked either as professors or in equivalent positions in world-renowned universities or research institutions, who will spend their sabbatical time undertaking research at USTC.
Master Chair Professor (I)
This position and title is designed for distinguished scholars that are highly influential in their research fields, and are interested in long-term collaborations with USTC through short term visits. They are expected to build up international connections for USTC with prestigious overseas research institutions, and expand the global vision and visibility of USTC.
Master Chair Professor (II)
This position and title is designed for distinguished scholars that are highly influential in their research fields, and are interested in long-term collaborations with USTC through short-term visits. They are expected to initiate and lead projects that involves USTC scholars/students and provide critical leadership to the project team.
