About Us
Established in 2006, English Practice Center (EPC) has developed into a multifunctional one integrating Oral Practice Platform, Writing Platform, English Use Platform, Self-access Learning and English Learning Support. EPC provides individualized, comprehensive and one-stop service for graduate students to improve their English. With IT underpinning its operations, students have much flexibility in choosing their practice time and activities.
Oral Practice Platform is purpose-built for graduate students registering for Daily Communication and Academic Communication courses. Students are given opportunities to speak in English through various small-size classroom activities with English-speakers as their language facilitators.
Situational dialogue involves those situations about campus life and daily life. Topical discussion covers such topics as communicative strategies, non-verbal communication techniques, social issues, customs and cultures, and social etiquettes, etc. In the debate class, students may draw upon the ideas "for" and "against" from the given materials, and they should also contribute ideas of their own. The Drama Workshop is two exciting hours of “doing” drama, a creative use of language that involves all five senses and puts language in meaningful context.
